A practical Christian response to pornography

Jun 22, 2016 by

From Christian Vision for Men website. ‘The P Word’ Conference in London will look at the huge problem for our churches and communities that online pornography has created.

The conference [and website] has been created by Naked Truth and Care, with whom CVM have worked with, in the past, to help men who struggle in this area or who, themselves, are seeking to support others that do.

The P Word Conference will aim to equip leaders with a practical and pastoral response to the issue of pornography.

The shift from the sex shop to smart phone means porn has never been more accessible, affordable, anonymous or addictive. Just one online pornsite boasts a reach of over 100 million people every day. This is the first generation with anytime, anywhere access to unregulated hardcore content, deeply affecting men, women and children physically, emotionally, relationally and spiritually.

The conference will feature a variety of short talks from a range of experts including activists, therapists, theologians and Parliamentarians. Delegates will receive both a clear understanding of the social costs of pornography and be given practical tools to address pornography in their churches and communities.
