Brexit’s smokescreen for bullies

The National Association of Head Teachers has issued guidance to primary schools, saying they should include books in the curriculum that feature transgender parents and ‘celebrate gender identity and difference’. This advice has been endorsed by the Department of Education.

Ruth Hunt, chief executive of Stonewall, said she welcomed the guidance, which closely resembles Stonewall’s agenda.

The tortuous Brexit process seems to have provided the perfect distraction, enabling campaigners and a willing Government to railroad through all sorts of ‘progressive’ measures that the majority of people would oppose if they were ever consulted. Indeed, the NAHT has told members to ‘forbid’ complaints from parents, governors or staff which might interfere with the school’s commitment to creating an inclusive environment for trans people. While only too willing to cave in to the bullies of Brussels, the Government happily bullies children, who cannot fight back, and anyone who disagrees.
