If you are fed up with the shallow onslaught against “complementarianism” that comes from secular philosophers and “liberal” Christian theologians, you MUST watch this video of Lord Jonathan Sacks, former Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom. He was speaking in 2014 at HUMANUM – a symposium held in Rome on marriage and complementarity, the keynote speakers for which were drawn from a wide range of traditions.

The audience of 300 in the Vatican’s synod hall gave Lord Sacks a standing ovation. His account of the development of marriage from a sexual act between fish in Scotland right up to the present day, by means of seven stories, ended with his exegesis of the Genesis account. He bemoans the dismantling of what he calls “the single most humanising institution in history” resulting in a whole new era of poverty and social division.
