Following defences from Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, Patrick was unconvinced and went to town on the pair.
“Isn’t it vital to shine a light on something so…,” Susanna began.
Patrick interrupted: “You don’t shine a light by having Piers just shouting at someone.”
“You know what Patrick, I totally respect you,” Piers waded in. “Like I’ve said before, you’ve done a lot of important work in this area, I just don’t agree with you, and actually there becomes a point when…”
Patrick intervened again: “That’s because you changed. You used to be a journalist and now you’re just a narcissist.
“You’ve gone from exposing people to just shouting at them and there’s a big difference.”
