Pink News Room 101, here I come

by Laura Perrins, The Conservative Woman:

I see the good folks at Pink News have taken to labelling me a ‘transphobe’ for refusing to get on the misogyny train that is the transgender agenda.

The targeting of primary school children by radical gender ideology has indeed caused me concern. This agenda is not, I believe, about reducing bullying in schools but about confusing children by suggesting to them that anyone can change their gender or biological sex.

Although biological sex and gender are distinct, these are not distinctions many five-year-olds will appreciate. So reading books to children which suggest that other children can be born in the wrong body is not only a falsehood; it is damaging to their moral and emotional development. Many adults seem to forget that children seek secure boundaries and rely on adults to be truthful to them, so lying to them in this way is a profound betrayal.

Suggesting to children that boys can become girls or girls can become boys is misleading them about basic biological facts. Despite this, the National Association of Headteachers (NAHT) is endorsing the approach in a misguided attempt to ‘celebrate diversity and ensure visibility of trans perspectives’. This tells you all you need to know about State education.

Anyway, because of my opinion that there is a deep misogyny to the idea that a biological male can identify as a woman and therefore access spaces hitherto reserved for females, I have been denounced as a transphobe by Pink News.
