Spreading God’s word is not ‘reactionary’

The Daily Express has activated my trigger warnings. One of its journalists in a news report about the Anglican Mission in England has called me a reactionary.
The fact that the journalist actually used this grossly offensive word about the Archbishop of Nigeria, Nicholas Okoh, is no defence. I am calling this out because I identify personally with the Rev. He holds the same views as me on sexuality.
They have violated my safe space.
Comrades, should I not report this abuse to Scotland Yard’s new hate crime unit?
After the student union tone of the above rant, you may be surprised to read that I have absolutely no intention of doing so. That is because I believe not only in the freedom of the press but also in the responsibility of newspaper readers to exercise moral discernment and critical judgement.
The Express journalist has unquestionably revealed his bias against the evangelical Anglican Mission in England and its biblical moral stance on sexuality in his reporting:
“The splinter group, while still relatively small, has received the support of reactionary archbishops from around the world, including The Archbishop of Nigeria, the most Reverend Nicholas Okoh who is the head of Gafcon, a hardline body within the Anglican church.”
