Abortion by app, the grim product of the pandemic

WHAT seemed unthinkable only a few years ago, is a common practice today. Could we have imagined a do-it-yourself abortion? A world where a pregnant woman can impetuously choose to terminate the life of her unborn child without so much as a clinic visit? And the abortion happens at home? Let’s take a closer look.

The medication RU-486, or mifepristone, was developed by the French pharmaceutical company Roussel-Uclaf in 1980. After being widely used across Europe, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved it for use in the United States in September 2000.

The abortion industry claims that mifepristone – commonly known as Mifeprex – blocks the hormones to the pregnancy, which is a nice way of saying that it will kill your baby.

It is used in combination with the medication Misoprostol, taken at home, which begins the contractions. Barring complications, the grisly process of the delivery of a deceased baby happens at home. Alone. This is a known as a chemical or medication abortion.

As a longtime manager of a Planned Parenthood facility, I saw first-hand the devastation caused by all abortions, but especially chemical abortions. The affiliate I worked for, Planned Parenthood of Greater Iowa, began the barbaric procedure in 2007, after completing clinical trials for the FDA.
