Foreign Office reminds diplomats to mark Bi-visibility Day and International Lesbian Week, reports say

Britain’s diplomatic calendar highlights dozens of obscure awareness days including six dedicated to transgender and intersex causes, but not Remembrance Sunday, according to reports.

An official calendar given by the Foreign Office to its diplomats reportedly reminds them to mark 110 awareness days throughout the year.

In November, the commemorations include Transgender Awareness Month, Islamophobia Awareness Month, Movember and Intersex Day of Remembrance, but it does not include Remembrance Sunday, according to the Daily Mail.

Remembrance Day on Nov 11 is noted, but the calendar ignores Remembrance Sunday, which honours members of the Armed Forces who sacrificed their lives for Britain and is marked at the Cenotaph in London every year.

The 2026 calendar reportedly highlights 20 days for mental health and neurodiverse conditions such as autism and ADHD, but ignores St George’s Day, D-Day and VE Day.
