Eleven open air ministers propogated the Gospel of Jesus Christ at the annual Notting Hill Carnival London on Sunday 30 August and Monday 31 August 2026. The ‘Gospel Preaching’, ‘Tract Giving’ and ‘Bible Text Display’ has been done every year of the carnival for the past 32 years. In response to the two days of Christian ministry 132 people came and asked for a Bible to read about Jesus Christ. Over 1,900 people received a Gospel tract about putting faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and Lord.
The famous 8 feet by 4 feet, ‘The Blood of Jesus Christ’ banner, carried by Idera and Molly, was resplendant above the heads of the huge crowds of people. It is estimated that about 2 million people attend the festival, including about 7,000 police officers. A multitude took photographs and film footage of our Bible Texts and Banners. We estimate to have ministered among 200,000 people during the 2 days. Many expressed their delight at seeing and hearing the ‘Bible Based Ministry’ and showed great respect for The Lord.
We started at the most southerly part of the Carnival route on Ladbroke Grove and got as far as we could towards the top of Ladbroke Grove, until the people were packed together shoulder to shoulder. I preached on ‘Justification by Faith only’ and ‘The Holy Undefiled Sacrifice of the Eternal Son of God, Jesus Christ and His Once Shed Blood as the only means of forgiveness of our sins’. Molly said after the event, “Really, really too many people. I told some that the Lord had sent me here to speak specifically to them. They valued my Christian advice, asked for a Bible and said “Mama, please pray for me”, which I have done. Valerie said “It was wonderful. Packed”. Michael said, “It went very well”. Idera said “We thank the Lord for all that His Spirit has accomplished in those two days and beyond.” Daria carried a huge Jesus flag. Tony said “I really enjoyed the day serving our Lord Jesus Christ. I displayed my Salvation Bible texts.” The 3 young preachers who joined us there for the first time this year were impressed by this Evangelistic effort. Before we started a sceptic Blogger expressed the usual objections to Christian belief. Billy answered those questions. Robert from Cornwall defended our belief in ‘The One Almighty God in three persons of The Heavenly Father, The Son Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit’. The 11 Christians who did the ministry rejoiced.
