Home Office grants visa sponsorship powers to stores selling anti-Semitic and ‘extremist’ texts
Islamic bookshops selling anti-Semitic texts have been granted the right to bring “skilled” migrants to Britain, The Telegraph can disclose.
The Home Office has given a string of bookshops powers to sponsor skilled worker visas. They are thought to have used them to bring dozens of people to the UK.
Books sold by some of the stores claim that Jewish people have a “wicked nature”, while other texts are deemed a radicalisation threat by UK prisons.
Milestones by Sayyid Qutb, an influential former Muslim Brotherhood leader whose work rails against Western civilisation and “world Jewry”, is one of the books on sale.
Other works include those by Hasan al-Banna, the Brotherhood’s founder, and Bilal Philips, a cleric banned by the Home Office, whose writings offer advice on beating wives.
