The firm’s various minority groups, including its LGBT+ network, will be replaced by an ’employee voice network’ that will be accessible to all workers
Rolls-Royce has announced that it will ditch its LGBTQ+ and other diversity groups after pressure from the US government.
The Times reported that the company informed its staff that it would be ending support for its employee inclusion networks, such as Prism, the firm’s LGBTQ+ network. The groups had been set up to back minorities within the company.
While groups can still meet informally, Rolls-Royce will no longer supply them with funding for events or allow them to be visible on the company’s intranet, or put up posters at the firm’s premises.
