Brief Reflections on March For Life, London 2025
I was at March For Life in London again this year to help lead prayers at the Emmanuel Centre in Westminster, and then later to join with other Christian leaders from different traditions at the end of the march to pray in unison that God would remove “the stain of abortion” from our land.
It was a blessed time in many ways, and a good way for different Christians to unite in spite of our many (not insignificant) differences, standing and marching together in Christ’s name on what I believe is the most vital public morality issue of our age.
The tribal “differences” were still very visible, of course, with large icons and statues of Mary hoisted high above the heads of the Roman Catholic section of the march, as well as some splendid public psalm-singing from the “Reformed” section, especially the oft-repeated rendition of David Erb’s Psalm 134 on which we concluded just as we turned towards Parliament Square.
