Trans activists are in a tiny minority

Trans protest

Polling shows the majority of Britons back the Supreme Court’s ruling on gender.

The ‘progressive’ hissy fit after the UK Supreme Court ruled last month that sex means biological sex in law was truly something to behold. Trans activists claimed that it was an ‘evil’ decision that heralded a new age of ‘fascism’. Pundits were outraged, calling the ruling ‘profoundly unfair’. And a group of Labour ministers were reported to be plotting to undermine or even overturn the ruling.

Listening to the outcry, you could be forgiven for thinking that the Supreme Court’s judgement was deeply controversial. That upholding sex-based rights is an unpopular position.

But in truth the ruling was neither controversial nor unpopular. Not with the public, at least. A new YouGov poll has found that the vast majority – 63 per cent – of Britons support the Supreme Court’s ruling. They believe the court made the ‘right decision’ when it ruled that the word ‘woman’ in the Equality Act 2010 does not refer to those with penises.

Moreover, the poll shows that over half of Labour voters also support the ruling. A heartening stat showing that even the left-leaning are immune to the delusions of trans activists.
