Two Narratives in London Define Britain’s Fate

Will Jews still have a future in a country growing increasingly intolerant of their presence?

Two events that took place this past week in London may well define the future of the country.

A march through London on Saturday saw thousands of pro-Ayatollah supporters and protesters chanting “globalise the intifada,” an expression now outlawed in public discourse.

The Palestine Coalition—which includes groups such as the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Stop the War Coalition, and Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament—marched through London into Whitehall.

They waved placards that said “kick the Zionists out, out, out,” even miming kick movements to demonstrate the violence they would like to visit upon the Jews of the Holy Land. “Globalise the intifada,” they chanted, making their violent urges clear. It was an orgy of bigotry, one commentator noted.

This behavior cannot go unnoticed. It represents a betrayal when one considers the thousands who have died at the hands of the Ayatollah’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). One placard read: “Pahlavi-supporting Iranians who stand alongside the Israeli flag are just filthy Zionists.” Other placards read, “Stop UK gun sales to Israel,” “Stop Arming Israel,” “Londoners love Palestine,” and “End the occupation now.” Fourteen protesters were arrested.

These Londoners sing the praises of the Islamic republic while betraying Iranians who are attempting to overthrow a brutal regime that has kept them oppressed for 47 years, even as their mosques empty and their economy collapses.

How ironic that these people weep for the dead of Gaza but shrug their shoulders over the dead of Iran.
