‘IT WERE better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.’ (Luke 17:12)
OF ALL the indicators of a civilisation in rapid decline, the most disturbing is the attempt to normalise the sexual abuse of children.
Recent court cases in the United Kingdom have proved that the judiciary regards paedophilia as a petty crime.
A senior civil servant who was caught in possession of appalling baby rape images has avoided prison. Marco Salzedo, who worked for the Cabinet Office at the time of his arrest, appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court last week and admitted possessing hundreds of indecent images of children including more than 100 showing the rape and abuse of babies. He was sentenced to a 12‑month community order, ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work and placed on the sex offenders’ register for five years.
Jordan Cave, a former IT technician at a north London school, was found in possession of 4,000 indecent images, of which more than 1,000 category A images. Among them were videos of boys aged between four and 11 who had been handcuffed, and raped. At Snaresbrook Crown Court this month, Recorder Maryam Syed gave Cave, 28, a two-year suspended prison sentence. He will have to sign the sex offenders’ register and will be under supervision for 12 months.
In February 2018, Sean Morton, a former Scottish Labour councillor, was caught with indecent images of children and extreme pornography. He was given 140 hours of unpaid work, a three-year supervision order and was placed on the Sex Offenders Register. Last January he was convicted of similar offences and jailed for a mere 16 months, backdated to the previous May.
Just as the legal establishment fails children, so too does the medical profession that was unflinching in its determination to inject children with an untested gene therapy. No doubt many of them will happily conduct late-stage abortions.
And what of our political leaders? They have allowed the settlement in our country of a multitude of unvetted sexually frustrated young men, some of whom have dreadfully abused children. We have a monarch who was mentored by the paedophiles Laurens van der Post, Earl Mountbatten and Bishop Peter Ball, and who willingly consorted with Jimmy Savile.
