Eight Reasons You Need to Know About Israel and its Future
Even as the IDF intensifies its war effort on Hamas in Gaza City, world opinion grows more stridently anti-Israel.
Witness the scene in the UN General Assembly. Israeli Prime Minister marked out his position by taking a firm stance against the recognition of a Palestinian state in the heart of Israel, saying it would encourage terrorism against Jews and innocent people everywhere. Many delegates walked out before he spoke.
PALESTINIAN STATE. A non-starter for Israel as it reflects on Israel’s security and sovereignty. Neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority would stop their hatred, military aggression and indoctrination of youth towards Israel, if a state should be allowed. Western nations that support a Palestinian state are useful idiots in the conquest of Israel.
GENOCIDE: The term “genocide” was introduced in 1944 by Polish Jewish lawyer Raphael Lemkin to describe the extermination of European Jews during the Holocaust. The murder of six million Jews was genocide. Nothing in Gaza approaches the definition of genocide. The 65,000 dead is a figure that Gaza’s Health Ministry puts out, not Israel. It might or might not be true. Israel warns citizens to flee areas that they are about to attack. That does not meet the criteria of genocide. The label ‘genocide’ is a convenient scapegoat for world leaders. No one has accused Vladimir Putin of genocide even though over one million Russians and Ukrainians (mostly soldiers) have been killed. Over 800,000 civilians were killed in Rwanda in 1994. That was genocide.
FAMINE: First, we must make a distinction between famine and hunger. Yes, there is hunger in Gaza, just as there is hunger in America. In America, approximately 1 in 7 people face hunger, which translates to about 47.4 million Americans experiencing food insecurity. This includes 13.5% of households, with nearly 14 million children living in food-insecure homes. In Gaza UNRWA estimates that one in three Gaza children go a full day without food. That does not meet the legal definition of famine. The bigger question is, who’s really blocking food to Gaza and what is the truth about humanitarian aid.
