Bishop to speak on authentic mission at prestigious Oxford venue
Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali will be preaching the Ramsden University Sermon at Mansfield College, Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TF this Sunday morning (3rd November) at 11am.
Bishop Michael says “I will be addressing the subject of Mission as Embassy and Hospitality, and the implications of each for the life of the Church. Hospitality implies welcome and a readiness to receive those who come, whereas embassy has to do with engagement with the language, culture and world view of those being reached. Mission is costly and involves service and suffering but God vindicates those who suffer for his sake.”
