Counter-Extremism Commission Call for Evidence

from Voice for Justice UK:

Please respond without delay! Deadline 31stJanuary

In November 2018 the independent Commission for Countering Extremism – set up in wake of the Manchester arena bombing in 2017 to look into the causes of extremism and advise Government on an appropriate response – announced the launch of a ten week call for evidence.  It invited members of the public, charities working with communities affected by extremism, academics studying the issue, and those working on the frontline to counter extremism, to give their views.  The Consultation closes at 11.45 pm on 31stJanuary 2019.

The undisputed growth of extremism, where fuelling violent aggression and terrorism in the UK, is of obvious concern and urgently needs to be addressed.

No definition of extremism is at any point offered by the Commission, but Lead Commissioner Sara Khan emphasises our country’s rich diversity and liberal values. Anyone who does not share and promote those views, she warns, does not uphold our fundamental British values.   To spell this out, lest there be any doubt, in Ms Khan’s eyes, Bible-believing Christians who hold traditional views towards morality and marriage, though posing no threat of violence, are fundamentalist extremists, and the expression of their views is unacceptable.  They must be silenced because of their threat to rebranded British values.

To defend our Christian heritage and the real values of which this nation is founded, it is vital that as many people as possible respond to the Consultation.  To help with your response, please read our Guidance: https://vfjuk.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Counter-Extremism-Call-for-evidence-Clean-BREIFING-on-Extremism-1.pdf

Please note, we do not give specimen replies, because in the past, where these have been used, it has been taken by Government as evidence of  a coordinated campaign, and all responses showing evidence of similar wording have been dismissed.  It is therefore vital you use your own words.

Anti-Christian bias!
Worryingly, VfJUK has uncovered evidence of clear anti-Christian bias amongst members of the Commission.  At least three members have openly expressed hostility to traditional Christian belief, saying acceptance of different sexualities and abortion are measurements of social integration.   There do not appear to be any members of the group holding Christian views and supporting traditional belief as set down in the Bible.

If you haven’t yet done so, please sign and share as widely as possible our petition, calling for more balanced representation that acknowledges and respects the nation’s Christian heritage, and for biased members of the Commission to resign.

Please sign and share our petition to the Home Secretary, the Rt Hon Sajid Javid, calling for greater transparency and balance, and for the immediate removal of biased, anti-Christian Commissioners.
