Cultural Globalism: USAID Engages in Ideological Imperialism With LGBTI Inclusive Development Policy

As a part of an unrelenting effort to export the cultural globalists’ left-liberal, LGBT-gender ideology to the rest of the world, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which funds media outlets across the globe that promote the same ideological worldview, last week unveiled its first-ever LGBTQI+ Inclusive Development Policy.

In its policy paper, published Wednesday, August 2nd, USAID—a federal agency which in 2023 received $49.59 billion in taxpayer funding for its worldwide endeavors—listed the goals and outcomes being pursued by the policy, including “comprehensive sexuality education” and “reproductive rights”—another way to say LGBT and gender ideological indoctrination and access to abortion.

“USAID affirms and celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex (LGBTQI+) people and all people of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC) as integral parts of every society,” the policy paper’s executive summary introduction reads.

USAID’s Senior LGBTQI+ coordinator Jay Gilliam previously worked as the director of the global program at the Human Rights Campaign (HRC)—described as “the largest LGBTQ political lobbying organization in the U.S.” The HRC has vocally opposed legislation either passed or being considered in the majority of U.S. states that bans sex-change operations on those under the age of 18, calling the laws an attack on ‘gender-affirming care.’

In June, the HRC, in response to some state legislatures passing what it called “anti-LGBTQ bills” and laws prohibiting sex change operations for children, declared a “state of emergency for LGBTQI+ Americans.”

In the USAID’s promotional video for its new LGBTQI+ Inclusive Development Policy, Gilliam says the policy is a “blueprint for USAID’s staff and partners around the world to champion LGBTQI+ Inclusive Development and the human rights of all LGBTQI+ people throughout our work.”
