The Christian Union just wanted to host their Carol Service in a wonderful venue, and invite a respected clergyman to preach the gospel faithfully. Their organising committee could not have imagined that this would involve them in the heart the Church of England ‘Inclusion Wars’, as the Cathedral Dean’s bizarre behaviour of showing X-rated films in the Cathedral but refusing to permit an evangelical clergyman to preach gained national publicity.
