Gafcon Chairman’s March Letter

Mar 12, 2019 by

In his March letter, Archbishop Nicholas Okoh reflects on the joy of meeting with faithful Anglicans in ‘restricted situations’ at the G19 conference in Dubai recently.

In contrast to the blessings of that Gafcon gathering, he considers the confusion and inconsistency surrounding invitations sent to same-sex partnered bishops for Lambeth 2020 and the ‘disinviting’ of their spouses.

The Chairman makes the point that faithful Anglicans who are persecuted for their faith suffer doubly because “they feel the pain of betrayal when the gospel they love and serve in lives of costly discipleship is confused, undermined and denied in other parts of the Communion.”
