Is there a place for God in schools?

The 1944 Education Act established a ‘collective act of worship’ in all state schools across England and Wales. Schools today are still required to provide an act of daily worship of a ‘broadly Christian character’.

However, a secularist group in the UK want schools to take God out of this daily worship in their assemblies and embrace other ideas instead. Christian Concern’s Head of Public Policy, Tim Dieppe, explains why this is a bad idea..
