Kenyan bishops “appalled” by CoE Synod vote on gay marriage

STATEMENT OF THE HOUSE OF BISHOPS ON THE STATE OF THE NATION AND ANGLICAN COMMUNION
Bible Verse: Ephesians 4: There is one body and one spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling.
- PREAMBLE:
We, the members of the house of Bishops of the Anglican Church of Kenya met here in Nairobi for two days from Tuesday 9th to Wednesday 10th May, 2023 for a time of consultation, deep reflection and prayer. Among other things we have consulted on the state of the nation of Kenya and thus present this statement as our position eight major areas of concern:
- Political and Governance Situation
- State of the Economy
- Regulation of the Religious Order
- The Anglican Communion
- Access to Quality Education
- Climate Change
- Health Care and
- Security
