OXFAM have ditched a bingo game celebrating “inspirational women” which featured J.K. Rowling.

Wonder Woman bingo game is said to have become a target for activists because it featured the Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling. The writer has previously faced criticism over her remarks about transgender women.

JK Rowling faced backlash after she questioned the idea that trans women are identical to biological women.

She retweeted an opinion piece that discussed “people who menstruate,” apparently taking issue with the fact that the story did not use the word women in June last year.

It has now been reported that Oxfam have removed their children’s Wonder Woman bingo game after transgender staff complained.

The game uses pictures of 48 famous women rather than numbers on cards that are matched with tokens showing the same female figures.
