Conference to discuss the new Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) curriculum proposed by the govt in 2020

11/13 Masons Avenue, Harrow, HA3 5AH

10:00 – 18:00 BST

About this Event

The UK Government is planning to bring in the new Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) curriculum in 2020.

While we support the government’s resolve to end bullying in schools, and acknowledge the need for children to be taught to respect others, we do not believe that the state should take other people’s children and teach them unhelpful, even damaging, ideologies that their parents (and science) disagree with

This conference will hear from expert speakers about how we can deal with these issues, including how to approach headteachers to protect children from LGBT ideologies.

Issues include the law, equalities and sex education claims, parent power and positive RSE.

**Speakers include Miriam Grossman MD, ‘You’re Teaching My Child What?’ (2009) (pre-recorded) and Roger Kiska, Solicitor and Legal Counsel at the Christian Legal Centre, London (pre-recorded); Prof Walter Schumm, Department of Family Studies, Kansas State University and Dr Mike Davidson, Core Issues Trust (live via Skype). Also Susan Mason, SchoolGateCampaign; Edmund Matyjaszek, Principal of Priory School of Our Lady of Walsingham; the Revd Lynda Rose, Voice for Justice UK; Mr Amir Ahmed, Birmingham RSE Challenger; and Dr Lisa Nolland, Marriage Sex and Culture Group, Anglican Mainstream. The aim is to educate, equip, empower and inspire through content. role modelling, networking and strategising. Our children’s futures are at stake.

We will be having a Bring ‘n Share lunch/tea so please bring something when you arrive.

Light refreshments provided through the day.
