Reform’s newest MP says UK is becoming segregated and Islam ‘expects you to live in a certain way’
[…] On the BBC’s Political Thinking podcast, Mr Kruger said he believed “the rate of immigration is simply too great and too swift”.
Asked why he had a particular concern around immigration from Muslim countries, the Reform MP said: “The problem is that Islam brings with it the expectation that you will live in a certain way that is not conforming to the traditional habits of life of the UK.
“It’s primarily, in fact it’s entirely, a question of degree because we have many little subcultures within our country that live apart.
“My concern is when whole cities essentially become Muslim, then we’ve got change that I don’t think the people voted for and is not consistent with the best interests of our country as well.”
The MP for East Wiltshire, who has been in the Commons since 2019, added: “We are getting a segregated society.
“We are seeing not just people – as there’s always been in this country, sad to say, class divisions and some cultural divisions – but whole communities living an entirely un-British life.”
