Designer behind world’s first underwear for transgender women is expanding the range for children

A designer is launching the world’s first underwear range designed especially for transgender children.

Carmen Liu, from London, launched the label, GI Collection, back in February after realising there was nothing on the market for trans women like herself.

After unveiling boundary-breaking underwear designed to target that segment of the population, the 27-year-old is now expanding her range for children.

Carmen hopes that the comfortable undergarments, which will hide their genitals, will allow trans kids to feel like they belong within their own body at a young age – as well as highlighting that transgender people of all ages deserve to be treated the same as everyone else.
