Kenya’s Anglican Church Cleric moves to London to take up ACC post

Outspoken Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Provost at the All-Saints’ Cathedral the Very Rev Canon Dr. Sammy Wainaina is leaving his role in the cathedral and moving to London to take up a new position as advisor on Anglican Communion Affairs in London.

The church made the announcement on Sunday, saying Rev Wainaina was taking up the role of Adviser on Anglican Communion Affairs in London, United Kingdom.

According to The Star Newspaper in Kenya, according to a notice on Sunday, Wainaina will take the role of advisor on Anglican Communion Affairs in the London office of the ACC

The announcement was posted on the social media pages of the All-Saints’ Cathedral, Nairobi.

“Join us in celebrating the next chapter of leadership as the All-Saints’ Cathedral Provost transitions to the role of Advisor on Anglican Communion Affairs in London,” it said.

The Cathedral noted that Wainaina has served for 13 years, saying he will leave behind a legacy of “strong leadership, a robust pulpit ministry and steadfast discipleship.”
