Number of Evangelicals continues to rise in France
from The Christian Institute:
According to 2023 statistics from the National Council of Evangelicals of France (CNEF), the number of practising Evangelicals in the country has risen from 650,000 in 2017 to 745,000 this year.
In 1950, it reported that there were 50,000, indicating a 15-fold growth over 70 years.
Growing
According to CNEF, there is now one church for every 25,000 inhabitants. In 2017, there were 2,521 recorded places of worship, which has now risen to at least 2,700.
The figures do not include churches that meet in homes or other informal settings.
The greatest number of churches belonged to the Assemblies of God France (530), followed by independent churches (308).
CNEF says its next goal is to have at least one Evangelical church for every 10,000 people.
