Flashing a winning and disarming smile, the keep-fit enthusiast was never less than svelte in his priestly robes. Known to his flock as “Brother K”, Dorgu felt deep joy at passing on the “good news” of Christianity. Dearly wanting to help others to do so, he led training programmes for lay and ordained ministry. “Talk to God about the people you want to talk to about God, to prepare the way to talk about the best news in the world,” was one of his favourite sayings. And for those who worried that evangelism was essentially God-bothering with added tambourines, he reframed the proposition. I prefer to use the word “witness”, he said. “We are called to testify to other people what Jesus is doing in our lives.”
