Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black to be first same-sex family to front Pampers campaign

[…] Tom has been announced as Pampers Pure partner and brand ambassador for the launch of their new Pure Protection range, and admitted that it’s a big deal that such an iconic brand has chosen a same-sex family to front the campaign.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, the 24-year-old said: ‘It was one of those interesting things where they called us, and first of all – it’s absolutely amazing that they called us, a same-sex family. There was something really incredible about that. But not only that, it’s wanting what’s best for your baby, and that’s why we trust Pampers and their Pure products.’
Lance, 44, added: ‘I do civil rights work and I talk about the law all the time, and trying to get things changed and equal. Pampers is a brand that’s been around forever, and it’s always been about family. It’s opening a window to what our family looks like, and I think at the end of the day, it will be clear that we have the same concerns as every other family.
‘You’ve got to feed them, you’ve got to change the diapers, you’ve got to love them. And I was really moved that they asked.
