Bishop Alan Wilson to speak at conference in Cayman Islands

The Right Reverend Dr Alan Wilson will be one of the key speakers at a free conference this summer focusing on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues, where he will speak on the topic of religion and homosexuality. Professor Emeritus Eugenio Raúl Zaffaroni, Justice of the Inter American Court of Human Rights, will address the conference on the decriminalisation of homosexuality.
The 7th Queering Paradigms Conference (QP) is being organised by a group of Cayman Islands residents and lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer (LGBTIQ+) activists, under the sponsorship of Canterbury Christ Church University (UK).
Dr Wilson is the author of a book, More Perfect Union? Understanding Same-sex Marriage, in which he offers a Biblical argument for same-sex marriage and challenges the Church’s “serious institutional homophobia”, suggesting that one in ten Church of England bishops could be secretly gay.
