Abortion giant Marie Stopes ‘proud’ to have taken millions from porn tycoon

Abortion giant Marie Stopes International (MSI), which claims to “empower” women, has received over £7.5 million from a pornographic business owner over the last 25 years.
Phil Harvey’s business, Adam & Eve, which sells pornographic content, made £60 million last year.
MSI, which says providing abortion is “at the core of our mission”, has come in for criticism for accepting the money, but says it is “proud” to work with the pornographer.
‘Cattle market’
Alithea Williams, from the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC), said: “It is utterly abhorrent that MSI can claim to ‘serve women and girls’ whilst accepting millions of pounds worth of funding from a man who profits from female exploitation and abuse through pornography.
“However, the exploitation and ill-treatment of women in Marie Stopes abortion clinics has become a commonly reported occurrence.
“Women who had visited a Marie Stopes clinic and Care Quality Commission reports have accused Marie Stopes of promoting a ‘cattle market’ abortion system.”
