Understanding Critical Theory

I am delighted to introduce our latest resources on Critical Theory.

Critical Theory is the ideology behind woke activism and ‘cancel culture’. It is a lethal blend of postmodernism and Marxism. Dividing society into oppressed and oppressor, it cannot be reasoned with because it dismisses reason as a tool of oppression. It is anti-Christian to its core and faithful believers must reject it.

Sadly, Critical Theory is being smuggled into the Church under cover of the deceptive phrase ‘Social Justice’. Of course Christians must challenge injustice. But Critical Theory is a hindrance, not a help. While it sometimes identifies genuine injustice, its underlying framework is fundamentally unjust and divisive. It condemns by association and has no hope or redemption to offer.
