The date to approve the Draft Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education and Health Education (England) Regulations has been set for Wednesday 20thMarch.
Please contact your MP, asking him or her to vote against this profoundly damaging legislation.
Some possible points to raise:
- The legislation is deeply undemocratic, as it will remove the right of parents – enshrined in UK and international law – to have children educated according to their religious or philosophical views.
- As currently framed, and far from being age-appropriate, the information is ‘too much, too young’, and potentially highly damaging to emotional, physical and mental development.
- It is effectively putting the control of children into the hands of the State, ignoring and overturning the rights of parents as primary educators of their children.
If this legislation goes through, sex education will be turned into State-sponsored child abuse.
This is the last chance to make our voice heard before the Regulations become law. Please act today!
